Reviews & Reputation

Google places (Formerly Google Local) Spamming and online reviews

Google reviews appear to play an essential role in getting high placement in the Google maps or local business results (Google 10-pack). Reviews can be written directly on your Google business profile or they can be taken from sites such as kudzu.com, ratemds.com or insiderpages.com. It is important to make sure that all reviews are authentic, from an unbiased source and submitted by actual patients.

Spamming
You may notice business putting keywords in their business name or business creating multiple listings, Google considers this spam. Recently Google stated that they will be carefully reviewing any edits to business listings. Google is making this effort to ward off spammers that are trying to manipulate results and to make certain their results are first-rate.
