The Plastic Surgery Mommy Makeover Phenomenon

The phrase “Mommy Makeover” has hit main stream plastic surgery marketing. If you do a Google search for “Mommy Makeover”, you will see what I mean. Now add a geographic locater to it like New York, Los Angeles or Denver and you will find plastic surgeon’s websites, advertisements, books on the subject, and article upon article. So what does this mean for a practice trying to attract moms wanting to do combination procedures like a tummy tuck & breast augmentation after child birth? Well, all this hype means new opportunities for you to become visible to your target audience. Obviously I can only speculate as to how far the term’s popularity will go, but with the research I have done to date it appears as though the Mommy Makeover is starting to become substantial. Last month the term “mommy makeover” (singular & plural) was typed in roughly 1600 times across all the major search engines. To put that figure into perspective, the term”liposuction” was typed in over 23,000 times. While Mommy Makeover is popular among surgeons and in the media, we still have a ways to go before this is a household phrase like “nose job” and “boob job” have become. So while i don’t recommend that you concentrate too much of your search marketing efforts to gain positioning for this up and coming term, I do suggest that you plan for the future and add some information to your site so that you can stay in the game. I will be sure to keep you posted on the search volume for Mommy Makeover in the coming months so check back for regular updates. If you want to discuss a plan to gain a portion of the Mommy Makeover market share in your area, feel free to contact us for a no obligation consultation.
