2011 Prediction Recap and Big News from Google

At least one of our predictions has begun to take shape so far, as Google announced yesterday that co-founder Larry Page will become CEO of the search giant, with former CEO Eric Schmidt stepping into a different role in the company.

In a related story, tech news website Mashable has announced that Google plans to launch Groupon competitor, Google Offers. According to a fact sheet from confidential sources within the Googleplex, Mashable says Google Offers is “a new product to help potential customers and clientele find great deals in their area through a daily email.” Sound anything like Groupon?

As Rosemont Media CEO Keith Humes predicted, Google 2012 will look nothing like the search engine we know today. Up next? Google Book? MyGoogle?
